[Alex + Jared]
Marcus Center For Performing Arts
Alex and Jared met each other online. The Marcus Center For Performing Arts had the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor space for this October wedding.
Favorite song from the dancing portion?
It's a toss up... our first dance - "Die a Happy Man" - was of course up there. At one point during that dance, Jared leaned in and said "As much as this sounds cliche, I honestly feel like we are the only two people in the room right now." That was beautiful and romantic. But we also did love the very last song, of course Piano Man - All our guests created a huge circle around us singing to us as we danced in the middle - truly an awesome ending to the best day.
Biggest challenge when planning your wedding?
Trying to stay within a reasonable budget and trying not to argue with one another!
Do you have any wedding planning advice for other couples?
Book things sooner than you think you should - try to get ahead of the game. As much as it seems obvious, if you are able to check things off your to do list sooner rather than later - it really does make a world of difference when getting closer to the big day. You won't be as stressed. Keep each other in the loop with planning, offer help and your opinion to each other. The groom's opinion DOES matter. Also, find a slew of friends and family to have on hand, not necessarily for help (although that is a bonus) but for emotional support and motivation.
